Disney ink exclusive pact with RTL

BERLIN -- Disney has inked a large-varying, multi-year free-TV output cope with RTL Deutschland, Germany's leading commercial broadcasting group. The exclusive certification agreement, which marks an finish to Disney's previous free-TV pact with rival ProSiebenSat.1, includes the German free-TV premieres of 2012 theatrical releases from Disney, Pixar and Marvel in addition to live-action features from DreamWorks. Additionally, the offer includes U.S. series from ABC Galleries, Disney Funnel Original Movies and classic game titles in the Mouse House's huge library. One of the Disney highlights that'll be premiering on RTL are "John Carter," which hits local theaters in March, "Brave," "The Avengers" and also the local romantic comedy "Frisch Gepresst," in addition to ABC's hit fairytale series "Not so long ago." Joerg Graf, RTL's mind of programming purchases, stated the offer "especially fortifies the broadcaster's feature film division." Robert Langer, Disney's GSA country manager, known as RTL "an ideal TV partner for the highly attractive series and film highlights in Germany," adding the pact introduced together "two leading brands." The businesses didn't disclose the financial particulars from the agreement. RTL, that has loved top rankings with your series as "CSI: Miami," "House," "Royal Pains" and "Whitened Collar," also offers current handles Warner Bros., NBC Universal and Studiocanal.
